Kestina is a committed Lecturer with over 15 years of experience teaching and mentoring Graduate and Undergraduate level students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. She holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and is a BTech with Honours in Computer Science. She is a certified Ethical Hacker, Forensics Investigator and Incident Handler having completed EC-council certifications CEH, CHFI and ECIH and is a certified EC-council instructor. Before moving to Vancouver, she was working as a Full time Lecturer at leading Academic Institutions in Singapore and worked as a Link tutor and Program Leader for their Uni partner Teesside University UK. She was an approved Lecturer for teaching Cybersecurity and Networking courses for Teesside University and Northumbria University UK.
She possesses excellent administrative, communication and writing skills along with constructive and effective teaching methods that promote a stimulating learning environment. With the onset of the Pandemic, she has compiled vast experience switching continuously between online and physical classrooms. Moving forward, she has also completed a certificate course in Teaching with Technology at Republic Polytechnic, Singapore. So, she can successfully make use of various digital tools during her online lectures.
She has received Highest Evaluation Rating for the Academic year 2020-2021, Second Highest Evaluation rating for the Academic Year 2018-19 and 2019-20 among all Full Time Lecturers at MDIS, Singapore and has contributed many research papers in various Conferences and Journals. She has extensive experience working with various pen test and database tools and her research interests are in Networking and Security.
