My name is Mykhaylo Pavlov, my friends and colleagues call me MikeQA. I’ve been working as a Software QA Engineer for over 7 years and during this time I have gone from a Manual QA tester to a QA Automation Engineer and QA Lead. I started my career in IT in 1999 by creating simple games at school, then graduated from the Pedagogical University in Ukraine in 2007 and became a professional computer science teacher in public schools.
In 2010 first time I joined a Toronto IT company as Software Project Manager. I also did all the software testing work that we released. After that, there were many other companies and projects such as TapMango, Spiria, Ezlogz, Paymi, CIBC, Topradio, CODDY.ca, and many others. I still work with some of these companies as an out staff testing engineer.
In 2018, I decided to get a professional QA education in Toronto and completed 8.5 months diploma program of Software Quality Assurance and Tester Analyst, which gave me fundamental knowledge and the opportunity to teach QA discipline at a more professional level.
I enjoy building large infrastructure projects as a QA Engineer and also teaching people. I am delighted to be part of the Canadian College of Technology and Business team and share my practical and theoretical knowledge with new students.
