Scholarships

Overview

Enroll in the online English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program at the Canadian College of Technology & Business (CCTB) or the online or in-person University Pathway Program (UPP) at The Language Gallery Canada (TLGC) and receive a scholarship equivalent to the tuition of the completed course.

 Value

Upon completion of the EAP/UPP course, you will receive a scholarship of up to $3,000 CAD towards your post-secondary program at CCTB.

The scholarship value will depend on the length of your completed EAP or UPP. Please refer to the values below:

  • 8 weeks: $1,200
  • 12 weeks: $1,800
  • 16 weeks: $2,400
  • 20 weeks: $3,000

In person (TLGC only)

  • 8 weeks: $2,000
  • 12 weeks: $3,000

Effective period 

The scholarship will be available to students who complete the EAP/UPP and are starting their post-secondary programs (excluding Certificates) between May 2024 and September 2025.

Terms and conditions

  1. The scholarship cannot be transferred or combined with any other offer or scholarship.
  2. The scholarship does not apply to students who attended an English-based education system.
  3. The scholarship is only valid for students starting their post-secondary programs (excluding Certificates) between May 2024 and September 2025 at CCTB. The scholarship will not be applied to students who have started the post-secondary program outside of these dates.
  4. Only EAP/UPP tuition payments will be converted to the scholarship amount. Fees paid for books and registration will not be included in the scholarship amount.
  5. Any value paid for extra weeks outside the specified durations (8, 12, 16 or 20 weeks for online and 8 or 12 weeks for in-person) will not be included in the scholarship calculation.
  6. Any value paid for the EAP/UPP after the maximum scholarship amount ($3,000) has been achieved will not be converted into additional scholarship value for the post-secondary program.
  7. Any changes or cancellations to the student’s application for EAP/UPP is subject to the regular Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy of CCTB and TLGC. Any fees paid will not be converted to the scholarship.
  8. In case of withdrawal from the post-secondary program, the scholarship eligibility is no longer valid. CCTB’s Terms & Conditions and Refund Policies apply for such cases.
  9. The outlined scholarship is discretionary and subject to change without notice.
  10. All prices are listed in Canadian dollars.

Overview

The Canadian Hero Scholarship has been established to support members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) community who are pursuing higher education at CCTB.

 Value

Eligible recipients will receive 10% off the final tuition rate in recognition of their service to Canada. Please note that this discount extends to the entire CAF community (additional information about who qualifies as a CAF community member can be found at cfmws.ca).

Effective period 

As of May 2023, this scholarship is open to members of the Canadian Armed Forces community.

How to apply

Refer to the attached form for application instructions. A copy of the members valid CF One Card must be submitted with the initial application to be considered for this offer.

Terms and conditions

  1. The recipient must begin their program before their offer for admission expires.

  2. The recipient must not change programs.

  3. The recipient must pay all fees (that are not covered by the scholarship) by their respective due dates.

  4. The recipient must maintain good academic standing and a full-time enrollment status.
