Overview

Enroll in the online English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program at the Canadian College of Technology & Business (CCTB) or the online or in-person University Pathway Program (UPP) at The Language Gallery Canada (TLGC) and receive a scholarship equivalent to the tuition of the completed course.

 Value

Upon completion of the EAP/UPP course, you will receive a scholarship of up to $3,000 CAD towards your post-secondary program at CCTB.

The scholarship value will depend on the length of your completed EAP or UPP. Please refer to the values below:

  • 8 weeks: $1,200
  • 12 weeks: $1,800
  • 16 weeks: $2,400
  • 20 weeks: $3,000

In person (TLGC only)

  • 8 weeks: $2,000
  • 12 weeks: $3,000

Effective period 

The scholarship will be available to students who complete the EAP/UPP and are starting their post-secondary programs (excluding Certificates) between May 2024 and September 2025.

Terms and conditions

  1. The scholarship cannot be transferred or combined with any other offer or scholarship.
  2. The scholarship does not apply to students who attended an English-based education system.
  3. The scholarship is only valid for students starting their post-secondary programs (excluding Certificates) between May 2024 and September 2025 at CCTB. The scholarship will not be applied to students who have started the post-secondary program outside of these dates.
  4. Only EAP/UPP tuition payments will be converted to the scholarship amount. Fees paid for books and registration will not be included in the scholarship amount.
  5. Any value paid for extra weeks outside the specified durations (8, 12, 16 or 20 weeks for online and 8 or 12 weeks for in-person) will not be included in the scholarship calculation.
  6. Any value paid for the EAP/UPP after the maximum scholarship amount ($3,000) has been achieved will not be converted into additional scholarship value for the post-secondary program.
  7. Any changes or cancellations to the student’s application for EAP/UPP is subject to the regular Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy of CCTB and TLGC. Any fees paid will not be converted to the scholarship.
  8. In case of withdrawal from the post-secondary program, the scholarship eligibility is no longer valid. CCTB’s Terms & Conditions and Refund Policies apply for such cases.
  9. The outlined scholarship is discretionary and subject to change without notice.
  10. All prices are listed in Canadian dollars.

Overview

The Family Scholarship has been established to support and encourage family members to join the Canadian College of Technology & Business (CCTB) and assist them in continuing to work toward their educational goals.

 Value

When a student enrolls in a program, their immediate family member can receive a 50% reduction on the final tuition value (post scholarship/discount) of another program. However, technology programs are not eligible for this discount.

Effective period 

The scholarship will be available to students who submit their applications for CCTB programs by December 31, 2024.

Terms and conditions

  1. The student who refers a family member must sign and fill the Family Scholarship Application with their personal and contact information.
  2. The Family Scholarship Application must be submitted to CCTB with the Admission Application form. To qualify for the program, the students must provide proof of first-degree family relationship:
    Documents Accepted as Proof of First-Degree Family Relationship:
    1. Siblings/Parents/Children: birth certificates
    2. Spouses: marriage certificate
    3. Partners: official documents under both names
  3. The discount (50%) will be applied to the second student (if one student is already attending) or the student with the lowest fees (if both students are prospective students).
  4. Installments plans will not be available for the student receiving the discount. Payments must be made in full prior to the start-date.
  5. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other promotion or offer.
  6. The scholarship will be available for applications sent by December 31, 2024. CCTB reserves the right to modify, cancel and limit this promotion.
  7. If one of the students withdraws or cancels their application, the scholarship will become void, and full fees will apply.

Overview

The Canadian Tech Family Scholarship has been established to support and encourage family members to enroll at the Canadian College of Technology and Business (CCTB), aiding them in their pursuit of educational goals.

 Value

Any prospective student can recommend a direct family member to apply for the Canadian Tech Family Scholarship when applying for one of the eligible CCTB technology programs.

To recommend a direct family member for this scholarship, students must be enrolled in one of the following programs:

  • Data Engineering and Analytics with Co-op
  • Software Quality Assurance Engineering with Co-op
  • User Experience and Interactive Design with Co-op
  • Cybersecurity Risk Management with Co-op
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Security Operations Analyst with Co-op
  • Full-Stack Web Developer with Co-op

Upon the student's recommendation, this scholarship enables a direct family member to enroll in one of the following non-tech programs at a significantly discounted price.

Discounted Programs (Final Tuition Price):

  • Hospitality and Tourism Administration with Co-op ($3000.00)
  • Hospitality and Tourism Management with Co-op ($5000.00)
  • Business Administration with Co-op ($3000.00)
  • Business Management with Co-op ($5000.00)

Effective period 

The scholarship will be available to students who submit their applications for CCTB programs by December 31, 2024.

Terms and conditions

  1. The Primary applicant for a qualified tech program who refers an eligible family member as a Secondary applicant must complete and sign this Canadian Tech Family Scholarship Application with their personal and contact information.

  2. The Canadian Tech Family Scholarship Application must be submitted to CCTB with the Admission Application Form at the same time. The Primary and Secondary applicants must apply at the same time.

  3. Eligible Secondary applicants include the following family members: spouse, sibling, parent and child. To qualify for the program, the Primary and Secondary applicants must provide proof of kinship:

    • Siblings/Parents/Children: birth certificates

    • Spouses: marriage certificate

    • All documents must be translated in English

  4. The Primary applicant must remain enrolled and in good academic standing for at least 50% of the total program duration to maintain the Secondary applicant’s Canadian Tech Family Scholarship eligibility.

  5. Secondary applicants will be billed the full tuition fee for the discounted program if the Primary applicant withdraws before 50% of the program duration.

  6. The CCTB Tuition Refund Policy will apply to both Primary and Secondary applicants’ programs.

  7. Payment plans will not be available for the Secondary applicants’ program of choice. The Secondary applicant must pay the discounted tuition rate in full before the program start date.

  8. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other promotion or offer.

  9. CCTB reserves the right to modify, cancel and limit this promotion.

  10. The scholarship will be available for applications sent by December 31, 2024.

Overview

The Canadian Hero Scholarship has been established to support members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) community who are pursuing higher education at CCTB.

 Value

Eligible recipients will receive 10% off the final tuition rate in recognition of their service to Canada. Please note that this discount extends to the entire CAF community (additional information about who qualifies as a CAF community member can be found at cfmws.ca).

Effective period 

As of May 2023, this scholarship is open to members of the Canadian Armed Forces community.

How to apply

Refer to the attached form for application instructions. A copy of the members valid CF One Card must be submitted with the initial application to be considered for this offer.

Terms and conditions

  1. The recipient must begin their program before their offer for admission expires.

  2. The recipient must not change programs.

  3. The recipient must pay all fees (that are not covered by the scholarship) by their respective due dates.

  4. The recipient must maintain good academic standing and a full-time enrollment status.
