Course Previews

This course adopts a case-oriented, problem-solving methodology for learning Microsoft Word and Excel within the Windows operating system. In the Windows module, students delve into the fundamentals of the operating system, acquiring the essential skills needed to navigate and operate efficiently within this environment.

Moving on to Microsoft Word, students engage with both basic and advanced features while honing their document creation abilities. Through practical exercises, they learn to craft various types of documents, including letters, memos, forms and reports.

In the Microsoft Excel segment, students explore a range of basic and advanced features aimed at developing proficiency in spreadsheet management. They tackle tasks such as budget creation, generating marketing and sales reports, forecasting and constructing statistical tables. Through hands-on practice, students gain the expertise required for effective data analysis and presentation within Excel.

This course prioritizes the analysis and documentation of business transactions according to the principles of double-entry bookkeeping. Students delve into the intricacies of adjusting journal entries and recording everyday transactions pertinent to both service and retail enterprises, culminating in the preparation of fundamental financial statements. Furthermore, the course offers a practical introduction to computerized accounting, guiding students through the setup of a computerized accounting infrastructure and the transition from manual to digital systems. Through engaging with diverse business simulations, students gain hands-on experience across all facets of work transactions within general, payables and receivable ledgers.

The objective of this course is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of various organizational structures, the impact of stakeholders and the intricate dynamics between businesses and their surrounding environments, whether local, national or global. Throughout this unit, students will explore how diverse market structures influence pricing strategies, output decisions and the overall behaviour of businesses, illuminating key insights into their operational paradigms.

The primary objective of this course is to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge regarding the avenues and methods for accessing financial resources for businesses, coupled with the requisite skills to utilize financial data effectively in the decision-making process. Through this course, participants will gain insight into the various sources of finance available to businesses and develop the analytical capabilities necessary for making informed financial decisions.

This course provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of both individual and group behaviours within organizational settings. By delving into current theories, participants will explore how these theories are applied to effectively manage behaviour within the workplace. Through the examination of various models and case studies, learners will gain valuable insights into the dynamics of organizational behaviour, equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate and influence behaviour within their respective professional environments.

The primary objective of this course is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles that form the foundation of the marketing process. Through this exploration, students delve into the influence of various elements within the marketing mix on decision-making processes. Additionally, they are tasked with developing marketing strategies tailored to specific marketing objectives, thereby honing their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios within the realm of marketing.

In this course, students have the chance to hone skills in data collection and storage techniques while gaining familiarity with statistical tools essential for generating and presenting valuable insights crucial for informed business decision-making. Additionally, students leverage cutting-edge technological tools to efficiently produce and analyze data, ensuring proficiency in modern information management practices.

Throughout this course, students cultivate the ability to conduct independent inquiry by crafting and executing research projects aligned with their program and professional objectives. Utilizing appropriate research analysis tools and techniques, students critically evaluate collected data to generate insightful recommendations, craft comprehensive reports and effectively present their findings to relevant stakeholders.



 

Admission Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an approved government institution of applicant’s home country, or applicant is minimum 19 years of age 
  • Good command of English language IELTS 5.0 or equivalent outlined below 
  • Students are required to have and use their own personal computer in class 

Language proficiency requirements are admission requirements and may not be waived by either the institution or the student.
